KUALA LUMPUR LAKE GARDEN FESTIVAL (KLLGF) 2014: RHYTHM IN THE PARK
PUTRAJAYA, 12 August 2014 – The National Department for Culture and Arts (JKKN) in collaboration with Mojo Live Sdn. Bhd., and Universal Music Malaysia will be organising the 2014 Kuala Lumpur Lake Garden Festival (KLLGF) from 15 to 17 August at the Perdana Botanical Garden of Kuala Lumpur.
Themed ‘Rhythm in the Park’, the three-day musical extravaganza is one of the activities under the KL Festival 2014 throughout the month of June until August.
In conjunction with Visit Malaysia Year (VMY) 2014, the inaugural KLLGF 2014 is a sequel to the renowned Kuala Lumpur Music Festival, which aims to transform the capital city of Malaysia into an international arts centre to attract tourists.
Highlights of the event include four main concerts featuring local and international artistes, premium food and beverages vendors, and picnic in the park. The four concerts are Joget In The Park (8.30pm to 10.30pm, 15 August), Tamilan Hip Hop (2pm to 6pm, 16 August), iRock 4U (8.30pm to 10.30pm, 16 August), and MH17 Tribute (4pm to 11pm, 17 August).
Other activities such as trick eye museum, hot air balloon, bike picnic, beautiful bike contest, gold sprint, flying fox, low rope, and bola kampong (children’s activities and giant bola kampong inflatable) are available as well to attract visitors.
Situated in Tun Abdul Razak Heritage Park of Kuala Lumpur, the 25 acres Perdana Botanical Garden is a part woodland and part formal garden. Planted with collections of tropical plants, the garden has a history of over a decade and it gives visitors the ambiance of being in a tropical rainforest, despite being in the middle of a bustling metropolis.
