Pekan, Saturday, January 31, 2015 - Yang Amat Berhormat Dato Sri Mohd Najib Tun Abdul Razak today inaugurated the Ancasa Royale Hotel in Pekan, Pahang which is wholly owned by UDA Holdings Berhad (UDA).

UDA, has once again created history with the establishment of the 4-star hotel which will also become new landmark in Pekan, Pahang.

Also present at the launching ceremony of the hotel are YB Datuk Johari Abdul Ghani, Chairman of UDA; Mr. Ahmad Abu Bakar, Group Managing Director of UDA, UDA Senior Management as well as the local community.

The 7-storey Ancasa Royale Hotel, has a total of 133 rooms with a built up area of 225,574 square feet and equipped with a wide range of the latest facilities.

The hotel will create a conducive environment and attract tourists, businessmen and corporate players from home and abroad.

It will also be a favourite for businessmen and corporate players, especially those involved with the automotive sector as Pekan is synonymous with the automotive sector and aspire to be a leading automotive hub in Malaysia. The Ancasa Royale Hotel is also the fifth product of the Ancasa Hotel & Resorts chain established under UDA Ancasa Sdn Bhd.

According to YB Datuk Johari, Ancasa Royale Hotel is the first hotel in Pekan, Pahang with a 4-star status which will change the development and landscape of the royal town of Pekan. I am optimistic with the construction of this hotel, the local community and particularly Pekan as its positive economic effects will spill over to the people.
Its strategic location near the town of Kuantan and Pekan's main attractions such as the Sultan Abu Bakar Museum, Silk Folks Gallery, Water Gallery and many more will entice visitors to stay at the Ancasa Royale Hotel. The Ancasa Royale Hotel features a blend of modern contemporary concepts and traditional designs, equipped with high-end features that promise a comfortable stay for the visitors. The Ancasa Royale Hotel will also boost business activities further by creating more employment opportunities and subsequently
contribute to the development of the local small and medium scale industries (SMIs).

Besides that, I also believe the hotel will also boost the tourism industry in Pekan and at the same time able to further promote t cultural traditions to the he added.

After the opening ceremony, the Prime Minister was accompanied by Senior Management to visit the Tun Abdul Razak Gallery and "Showcase UDA" which features UDA's business operations including Property Development, Mall Management, Hospitality and Facility Management.

The Prime Minister also took the time to visit a "suite" and the Ancasa Royale Hotel's surrounding areas. The Opening Ceremony of the Ancasa Royale Hotel ended with a sumptuous variety of delicacies prepared by chefs from the hotel, especially for those present at the opening ceremony.
