A total of 200 Taiwanese tourists are currently in Malaysia for a five-day gourmet and spa tour from 24 to 28 April.

Led by Ms. Yu Mei Ren, a famous Taiwanese TV personality and book-writer, they will get a chance to taste some of the exotic Chinese, Malay, Indian and Nyonya cuisines in Malaysia as well as experience the most relaxing spa services that the country has to offer.

Supported by Tourism Malaysia, the inaugural gourmet & spa tour is a special programme launched in March 2008 targeting the Taiwanese market. This programme aims to tap into the luxury niche market by showcasing the vast array of cuisines and world-class spa facilities that are available in Malaysia.

The five-day trip incorporated cooking demonstrations, food tasting, shopping and visits to a few tourist destinations, such as Kuala Lumpur, Seremban, Melaka, Port Dickson, Batu Caves, Bukit Bintang, Bintang Walk and Royal Selangor.
